Change
You are only changed by that which you allow to change you.
Leave life alone.
Stop thrashing around in that ocean of frustration.
Lie back, let the water embrace you. Soften your body and float around for awhile.
That is where the magic happens.
Breathe out and allow life to fill you with its purpose and its energy.
Then they come. There are those moments.
Those moments of clarity.
Like when you have been crawling through bushes, climbing over rocks, scraping your knees and seeming to be making no progress.
Nothing works. Nothing satisfies.
Everything you try ends in disaster.
And then it happens.
That moment in time, in the middle of all the chaos and confusion, everything seems to stop.
No sound. No movement.
It takes your breath away.
You don’t want to breathe.
It’s like you’ve just entered a sacred dwelling and even your breath could ruin the perfection.
And then as gently as it came upon you, gently it passes.
As if it never happened.
But you know it did.
You can feel it all over you. It’s deep inside of you.
The change.
So peaceful yet so present and real.
And all you had to do was observe it. Allow it. Be in it.
Be overwhelmed by it in that instant of time.
You are only changed by that which you allow to change you.
As in pure poetry of stillness.
